Putting Stuff in Storage

With the imminent move of our office to a new building, we have been spending time deciding what things we need to keep, and what we need to get rid of. In some respects, this move will be a blessing and will finally force us to get rid of those things that we have kept for years.
But the truth of the matter is that we can’t throw everything out and we need to keep some of our stuff. Since the building that we are moving to is smaller than the one that we are currently in, we have procured some self storage for those items that we intend to keep.
Some of the first items to be put in storage are the trade show displays that we use once per year while out recruiting new talent. It took us a lot of time to come up with a format that converted well, and when we did, we decided that we would never change anything. So, those displays were one of the things that we just had to keep.
But as for the rest, we are divvying it up into things that we absolutely need and things that we could maybe live without. The final decision will be up to the director – hopefully she will be able to resist the urge to keep everything.
