One of the things that our college prides itself on is that we are a pioneer in the field of education, and we treat our students right.  If that means going above and beyond what would be expected at any other college, we are happy to do that.

So, when it came to graduation this year, the board decided that we needed to do something different for our students.  Sure, we had the lavish graduation ceremony that every other college had, the banquet, and the after grad party.  But, that wasn’t going to be enough if we stuck to our philosophy that we had to do more than any other college in the nation.

So what did we do?

Well, since it was decided that it wouldn’t be appropriate in a time of recession to go “all out” and spend a bunch of money on anything, it was decided that we would do something simple and give each of our students a college diploma frame.

We were able to secure a large shipment of diploma frames at a deep discount and then we took the gift one step further.  We put a gold plated college crest on each of the frames so that they would have something worthy of showing to their friends and colleagues.

I think it was well received and we received a lot of good feedback from the graduates.  I think it might just be a tradition that we will carryon into the future.
