How I Ended Up At Collins Graphic Design School

I didn’t originally plan on attending classes at Collins graphic design school. In fact, when I first graduated from high school, I assumed that I would be going to a four year university. One bad semester and a whole lot of stress later, I knew that a big college wasn’t right for me. The one thing that I had managed to learn during that brief stint at a university was that I definitely liked my creative classes best. That’s how I decided that I would attend a school offering instruction in graphic design.
At first I checked out schools that offered graphic design as one of several programs. (Bethpage Briarcliffe College was one of them.) But I decided that I might be interested in taking creative classes outside of the area of graphic design as well. That’s when I started checking out schools that had game design, film design and even fashion design courses on campus.
I reviewed a bunch of these schools. In fact, I almost decided on going to Harrington College of Design. However, one trip to the Chicago-based campus in the winter told me I’d never cut it in a cold climate. I did my research into warm-weather design schools and that’s how I came across Collins. It took a little while for me to wind up there but it ultimately was exactly what I needed to find.
