There is a myth which persists in our society that online college degrees are only for people who can’t seem to hack it in "real" college classes. This idea is absurd. There are many reasons why someone might want to get an online degree instead of attending a college campus. This is exemplified by the fact that there are online degrees available for every level of education.

Although there are "vocational" or "trade" degrees available from online schools, there are also degrees available through the Internet for each level of education. Associates degrees, Bachelors degrees and Masters degrees can all be obtained through an online course. In fact, you can get legitimate law and doctoral degrees by taking classes online.

Many people who are interested in pursuing advanced degrees turn to the option of Internet courses because of the flexibility that they allow in scheduling. These people usually have professional jobs which they don’t want to cease just because they’re interested in obtaining additional education. They look to online programs which allow them to continue working while getting their degree. Rather than being for students who can’t "hack it", these degrees are for students who can do more than just meet the bare minimums required to get a college degree!
