The other day I was talking to a friend of mine who was shopping for an airsoft gun.   Airsoft guns are used to play paintball and other types of airsoft games.  They fire non-lethal projectiles and come in all types of styles.

I was amazed at the different type of guns that you can buy.  He was checking out some echo1 airsoft guns to start with.  I didn’t realize that you could buy replica AK-47′s, replica P90′s, and even replica M16′s.  There were also a couple of different sniper rifles that you could buy.

Mock assault rifles are not the only type of airsoft guns that you can buy.  There are various types of hand pistols.  He looked at several models made by tokyo marui and many look identical to the real version of the weapon.  I can see why laws were put in place to make replica and toy guns stand out.

It is no surprise to me why the sport of airsoft has become popular.  Players get to go around handling mock military grade weaponry in an adrenaline pumping environment.  It seems like a load of fun.  Maybe I will give it a try sometime.  I think that if I play, I will take the sniper rifle with scope.
