Hair Replacement is a Scary Yet Exciting Option

I’m considering having hair replacement surgery.  It sounds a little scary for a woman, though.  I just have a bit of a rare condition that mimics the “crown” in men.  I know it’s no longer embarrassing for a woman to wear a wig anymore, but they are insanely uncomfortable, and besides, my head is kind of big anyway and a wig just makes the old melon look bigger.

It’s scary because even though hair replacement for men is becoming more and more commonplace, I’ve never personally seen the results in a woman.  In a man with some height, anyway, people don’t really notice the tops of their heads, so if it looks fake at all you’re kind of above everyone.  But I’m a short woman, and my natural hair is rather fine.

But there MUST be a lot of success stories out there.  Just think of how many professional beauties depend on good hair, not to mention chemotherapy patients who are women.  And with thinning hair being a symptom of perimenopause, and more of our population entering that age group and beyond, I would think that things have become competitive enough for several companies to do a very believable job.
