Should You Have One or More Website?

If you have a business that sells several different types of items then you may want to consider setting up multiple websites instead of just one single website. Whether or not it makes sense to do this varies depending upon the nature of the different items that you sell. In general, distinguishing these separate items into niche sites will allow you to better target the customers for each niche.
For example, let’s say that you are in the business of selling supplies and accessories for pets. You could have a single website for all of your pet supplies. Alternatively, you could have one website for cat supplies and a separate one for dog supplies in addition to the main site for your store. This would allow your niche customers to more easily find you; people looking for cat condos might not want to bother looking around on a site that also sells dog toys.
To do this, you would want to create a main site and then separate domains for the other two sites. The individual sites would be named in a manner relevant to their niche. However, all of the sites would be linked to one another so that customers who do have needs in both categories can move back and forth between the sites to get what they want.
