If you were to purchase domains and forward them to a website, then place some links to those "keyword phrases", would the search engines find them and then give those keyword phrases any sort of decent rank?  Especially keyword searches conducted for those exact phrases?  Why not run a little test? 

Below are a few domains purchased for the sole purpose of getting ranked for specific keyword phrases.  You can see they are all quite different.  We will place these exact "text links" on one other site with a decent PR.  Let’s see what happens over the next month or so.
