3 Components to Marketing any Product

Different products need to be marketed differently depending on the target audience for the product. However, there are some components of marketing that should be included when trying to get consumers to buy almost any product that you can imagine.

Here are some of the basic things to include in the marketing of any product:

  • An explanation of what the product is. If you are marketing a really great brand like Coca-Cola, you can skip this. All other products should be briefly explained though. You may know the ins and outs of dark tanning lotions but most people don’t know quite what the product is used for so you’ll need to tell them.
  • An explanation of why your product is the best one out there. You can’t just say that you make the best tanning lotions. You need to describe what the best suntan lotion is (for example, one that protects against skin cancer) and then describe how your product is best at that.
  • Something to capture the interest of your audience. You need to relay all of this information within the context of an attention-getting ad. A jingle, a sexy model, an innovative approach to the photography … whatever it is, it needs to catch your viewer’s attention.

You can take these three basic components and apply them to the marketing of almost any product in order to make sure that you attract the attention of the broadest buying audience.
