Dinner with the Neighbors

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I had dinner with the neighbors.  It was part of a long-standing deal to get together and discuss Internet marketing strategies for Cyndi, who is an artist and wants to learn about website promotion.  In exchange, they would feed us.

And boy, did they ever!  On top of being an artist, Cyndi is a fabulous cook.  She made veggie lasagna that was just to die for, and we had lattes and biscotti for dessert.  While we ate, we talked about cooking — well, I didn’t, because I don’t do much of that, but hubby and Cyndi had plenty to talk about.

It’s funny to me how some people just seem to be naturally gifted at cooking.  Of course, that doesn’t meant that I couldn’t cook if I really put my mind to it.  There are some great PA culinary arts programs that I’m sure could teach even me to make something good.  But I think what I would be most interested in — IF I ever wanted to learn to cook, that is — would be a professional pastry program.  Yum, yum!

Luckily, I was able to contribute something too: I gave Cyndi lots of good advice for search engine optimization and website marketing.  Hopefully she’ll need some more advice soon, because I’d love another meal like that one!
