Well, it is that time of the month again, and the homeowners association meeting is tonight.  There are some perks and responsibilities being on the board, but I love the fact that I have some say in how our condominium is run, and that alone makes it worthwhile.

It has been a lot easier now that we have been part of the HOA management for a little more than a year now, and I finally understand how things work.  The first few months were the hardest learning the ropes, but now I feel that I am somewhat of an expert – at least when it comes to how things work.

There have been some talks about how we might need to have another vote since one of our members left the homeowners association management board two weeks ago because they moved.  We were originally not going to worry about it, but since elections won’t happen again for another two years, it makes no sense to have one position vacant for so long.

So, it looks like tonight should be a good meeting, and probably a long one.  I guess I am just happy that it only happens once per month since any more than that would be too much of a commitment for me.

Out of all the things that I had planned for this weekend, ending up in the clinic wasn’t one of them.  I guess no one really wants to take a trip to the doctor, but we all do at some point, don’t we?

Well, mine could have been avoided, but when I was outside raking leaves this morning, I stepped on one of my children’s toys and twisted my ankle.  I am hoping that it is only a sprained ankle, but since I am getting older now, I am worried that I might have done more damage than I would have liked.

When I was in the waiting room I found a few pamphlets on the side effects of HGH. They definitely were an interesting read, I had never really sat down and seen just how HGH can help someone.

Since I have never taken HGH in my life, it was good to know info, but definitely too short for the time I was going to be in the waiting room.  I guess next time I will have to bring my own reading material, though that would be the last thing on my mind if I was going to the clinic.

One of the most popular trends in home sales right now is the raffle. Instead of actually selling a home for a specific price, the home owner raffles off the home. Tickets cost anywhere from $50 to hundreds of dollars per ticket. If enough tickets sell then the home owners get a good price for a home that they might not otherwise be able to sell in today’s market. And one lucky winner gets to purchase a home for just a few hundred dollars. It seems like a great idea. And it’s a popular one especially in certain areas like Tampa. But it turns out that doing this might just be illegal.

There are a lot of rules involved in raffling off a house. Only certain organizations are allowed to raffle off a home. Individuals who try to do so are actually breaking state gambling laws in Florida. Done properly, this can be a great way to buy or sell a home. But it’s risky. If you’re looking at Tampa houses for sale, you should go through a legitimate home buying process with a Tampa realtor rather than trying your luck with one of these raffles. This fad just isn’t the way to go.
