I won’t complain about the weather this year, but there comes a point where the summer Hawaiian bedding needs to be put away for the winter.  There is a moment of sadness when this does happen as it means that it will be about six months before we see the colorful bedding again.

We never used to have separate bedding for different seasons, but that is something we started just two short years ago.  You see, as we have aged, we have become cooler.  That might sound a little silly, but ten years ago, I didn’t really ever wear sweaters – now I have one on every day.

In fact, I just about cried when we had to get rid of our polka dot bedding as it was given to us by my now deceased parents.  Even though my husband never really loved them, they had some sentimental meaning to me, and they will be sorely missed.

But, I should really get off of the computer and finish making the beds.  All I have left to do is put the photo blankets on our bed and the one in the guest bedroom and I should be done – maybe I’ll just have to sit down with a warm cup of cocoa.
