Trying to Save Money

Okay now I’m really on the warpath.  How come when I was a new teacher and not making much money that I could find the cutest outdoor Christmas decorations that were affordable?  Now that I’m making more, sure the decorations have gotten a lot cooler, like those big air filled snow-globe-beach-ball things with penguins or whatever inside, but they’ve also become more pricey.

The prices are very worth what you’re getting, don’t get me wrong.  But I remember I had this little running reindeer that was just 2-D, but very effective.  Now you can find the 3-D moving deer where the head actually goes up and down-it’s not just lights-but everyone and their mother has one.  It’s kind of like the led Christmas lights:  extremely cool and well-worth the money, but how can I get some that are quite unique?

I’m only interested because I’d like to do a little display for a play I’m doing at my school.  I’m trying not to spend much of the school’s money at all.  It’s for After Prom, which is not a money making event.  Well, I’m just doing a little complaining here.  Cheap is not always better, but in this case, it kind of is!
