I’ve never been the kind of girl who was really girly. I was a tomboy growing up and it wasn’t until I was well into my twenties that I started wearing make-up and high-heels. But that doesn’t mean that I lack a sense of style. I just tend to have a style that’s all my own.

One of the signature traits of this style is that I take traditional jewelry and change it to suit a more tomboyish style. I have a collection of great jewelry that I bought at a bargain from places like ItsHot Wholesale Jewelry and altered to suit me.

Some of the different jewelry pieces I have in my personal collection include:

• Two diamond heart pendants that have been laced together to create a belt. It perfectly accents the one little black dress that I own.
• A bunch of different earrings that I’ll usually wear together as a mismatched pair.
• A gorgeous men’s diamond ring that’s way too big for me so it’s strung on an anklet and worn on my leg.
• An old children’s locket that’s been enhanced with diamonds both inside and out.

I think one of the most important things that we each have is our own unique perspective on style. We should do all that we can to play around with it and show it off to the world!
